Controversial TV reality show Bigg Boss7 on Colors television is once again in talks. This time its not because of any petty fighting issue among the contestants but for hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims.
An FIR has been launched against Colors channel and most surprisingly host of the show Salman Khan for hurting the sentiments of Muslims. This year the theme of the show was based upon the concept of Jannat and Jahannum – meaning Heaven and Hell respectively. Participants were sometimes kept in Jannat and at times they were shifted to Jahannum based on their performance. Jannat in the show was a place where all the participants would get all the facilities and amenities while Jahannum was the place where they had to face all the odds and problems.
Advocate MA Qawi Abbasi said Mohammed Fasihuddin had approached the Sixteenth Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, seeking direction to the police to register a case against Big Boss 7. As per the complainers Jannat and Jahannum are sacred in Islam. Conservative religious people are unhappy as they feel that the channel is making mockery of the holy concept on the show. However it seems that the complainers are little late in filing the legal battle against the channel as the show is already in its last stage of finale. It is surprising to see that it took them more than two months to take this action as the show is being aired since past two and a half months.
Big Boss show has always been controversial and the troubles are never ending for the show and its participants. Off late Sofia Hayat – a British model and singer – who was a part of the show for some time had launched an FIR complaint against fellow participant Armaan Kohli for assaulting her during the task. Following this Armaan had to face stern police action and was taken out from the show for a day to settle the case against him. He was arrested and was released on bail for surety of 50,000.
