Kapil Sharma is the name that has emerged on the horizon of Indian Television industry as a best entertaining superstar on small screen. With his most famous and popular comedy show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’, Kapil has won the hearts of audiences not only in India but across the globe.
However just like other popular television stars, Kapil also seems to be following the same path and that is nothing but joining film Industry. However unlike any other big stars those have entered Bollywood after successful stint on small television, Kapil has got a really big, big platform for his debut. It is confirmed news that he will be making his debut with the Yash Raj Films upcoming production.
Title of the film is ‘Bank Chor’ and it is a comedy-thriller. Kapil is very excited about his film for some obvious reasons. Firstly the banner of Yash Raj Films is in itself iconic and working for them has been a dream for many artists. Secondly he is getting a lead role in his debut film which is expected to be released in April 2014. The film is being made by a youth wing of Yash Raj Films who have films like ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ under their belt.
Kapil has reportedly signed a three films contract with the production firm. His first film will be directed by Bumpy, creator of the hit reality show, ‘Roadies’ and will be produced by Ashish Patil.
Story of the film is based on four friends who plan a bank robbery and choose a wrong day for it. Their plan fails miserably and they all get caught. Kapil is playing an idiotic thief here where he is expected to make us laugh madly throughout the film.
In his recent interview Kapil has said thst it is a privilege and a dream to be part of the YRF family and have his launch with their Youth Films Studio, Y-Films.
He also said that he has done some serious roles in theatres before being successful in genre of comedy. The role of a thief is really challenging and he has already started working on his character.
However he is not going to abandon his popular TV show for his film career. His shooting dates are adjusted to that he can devote sufficient time for his TV show.
