After spending 25 years in Hindi film industry as a producer Sajid Nadiyadwala has finally decided to try his hands in film direction. He has given Shirish Kunder a break and took his chair. In his directorial debut movie in which he has signed Salman Khan a search for female lead has started. It is said that Sajid is keen on testing few new and fresh faces in industry for this role. It is believed that he has also finalized four names and they are Sonakshi Sinha, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Ileana D’Cruz. Out of these four girls, Ileana is making her debut in an upcoming movie ‘Burfi’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
Sources have confirmed that Sonakshi Sinha may not make it to the final round as Sajid feels that she has already worked with Salman in Dabaang and is also featuring in its sequel. As he is keen on featuring a new pair then he might give chance to Ileana – though Deepika and Anushka may prove to be strong contenders.
Sajid will be announcing his choice in coming two weeks as he is right now busy with the other aspects of the movie. Salman has also left his choice on him and is not interested in interfering in his work.
In the past Sajid has produced hit films with Salman Khan. These are Jeet (1996), Judwa (1997) and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). As this pair has a proven track record of producing block busters and the news of Sajid turning Director has already created a buzz around, it is for sure that the movie will be a new blockbuster of the coming year. It is a good news for movie fans as some expected to be hit movies like Dhoom 3, Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express and Amir Khan’s P.K will be releasing at he same time around next year.
Meanwhile it will be interesting to see which heroine has bright enough stars to get cast opposite Salman!
