Salman Khan Starrer ‘Ek Tha Tiger‘ had already created enough buzz before its release and it made a even a bigger boom after it reached to audiences. Within the four days of its release this spy thriller of Bollywood has already collected over 67 crore rupees on box office in India alone. It is expected that on the Eid day it will cross the total of 100 crores for sure. Salman Khan has delivered three hits in a row on the occasion of Eid namely Dabaang (2010), Bodyguard (2011) and now Ek Tha Tiger (2012) is the latest one. With the mammoth box office collection in the opening week itself the movie is expected to break the previous records and set new highs in the history of Hindi film industry.

Earlier the record of highest revenue grosser of the year was held by ‘Agnipath‘ starring Hritik Roshan and Katrina Kaif. Agnipath had collected 23 crores at the domestic box office on the opening day. ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ however has fetched 32.92 crores business on its opening day setting new benchmarks. As expected the earnings were dropped down in following days. The collections of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ fell down by more than 50% on Thursday with its two day collection reaching mere 14.5 crore rupees. But that could not stop the spy thriller from achieving the record of highest revenue collector in first week.

Last year it was movie Bodyguard that outscored the opening weeks total income of three blockbusters- Dabaang, 3 Idiots and Ready with an amazing 21.50 crores. However celebrations were limited as Salman had to undergo surgery and had flown off to US with brother Arbaaz, Sohail and Alvira. Only his younger sister Arpita was in India to celebrate Eid and Ganpati.

This time however it seems that the superstar will be here in India celebrating the huge success with his fans and family members.
