One of the leading newcomers in Hindi film industry and most talked about fresh face Amy Jackson had successfully made headlines in past few months – not because of her onscreen performances – but because of her on and off relationships with B-town actor Prateik Babbar. It is so said about the gorgeous actress that since her career has not yet picked a top gear she has decided to sign off with the stylish actor Prateik.
Same is a story at Prateik’s end. Professionally it is not going so well with him. After fantastic breaks that he got in Jane Tu Ya Jane Na, Dhobi Ghaat, My Friend Pinto, Dum Maro Dum and Ekk Deewana Tha, he seems to have achieved nothing as compared to his counterparts. Though Amy and Prateik’s PR people had started churning the story of their on and off screen romance it has not come to their helping cause. After all the efforts of portraying them Bollywood’ s only romantic couple didn’t appear fortified, Amy had decided not to get along any more with this relation and focus on her career. Everyone knows that they were together in London and after the news of their separation has arrived so soon, it is difficult to explain the nature of their relationship and mutual understanding.
Amy has reportedly bagged Robot fame Shankar‘s next big project, I, and she seems in no mood to continue to associate her name with Prateik as it may create hurdles in her career which has just started blooming. She even find him a hindrance rather than a help in her personal as well as professional career. Her close associates have confirmed that though she is aware that Prateik hangs around her sets, she feels that he is merely a friend and nothing more. Amy sees no future with him.
Indeed this industry salutes the rising sun ans Amy is not an exception. Given the fact that Prateik has no big projects in his hands, nor can he recommend Amy for any roles in his movies , If he gets any, Amy would not be willing to continue a relationship with him. Especially when she has bagged a role in Shankar’s movie and is featuring opposite Vikram on her own! In these circumstances friends says she would love to fly solo. Her spokesperson confirmed – ” they are taking a break”.
