Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif‘s spy-action-thriller Tiger Zinda Hai has been inflaming the domestic box office ever since its release on 22nd December. With no competition whatsoever, the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial has emerged as the biggest Bollywood blockbuster of 2017. After closing out its third weekend with Rs. 11.09 crores and surpassing the lifetime business of Salman Khan‘s 2016 blockbuster, Sultan, the YRF Films production earned Rs. 2.72 crores on its 3rd Monday, taking its cumulative collection to Rs. 311.88 crore. Tiger Zinda Hai is the second most profitable film of Salman Khan after Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Tiger Zinda Hai Still
After joining the coveted club of Rs. 300 crore on its 16th day, Tiger Zinda Hai is now inching towards crossing the lifetime collection of Salman Khan‘s biggest hit till date, Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The Kabir Khan directorial, which released in 2015, had snagged Rs. 320.34 crore before wrapping up its final run. Tiger Zinda Hai is expected to topple the box office record of Bajrangi Bhaijaan by the end of this week, thus becoming the biggest blockbuster of Bhaijaan.
Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to Salman Khan‘s 2012 film Ek Tha Tiger, which was also a huge hit at the ticket window.
