MUMBAI: Shahid Kapoor was all set to perform at a recent award function. But sources reveal that the actor backed out when he realised he’s losing the Best Actor trophy to Ranveer Singh for Gully Boy.
Shahid wasn’t too happy with the results of the Best Actor category and decided to back out of an already committed stage performance. As per sources, Shahid was expecting an award for Kabir Singh.
Shahid was not too happy with the news that he’s losing out on a major award. As a result of Shahid backing out, the organisers reached out to Varun Dhawan who stepped in and replaced Shahid last minute as a performer for the awards night.
