Filmistan is a story of a young film fanatic man named Sunny who believes life is nothing but a cinema. He speaks, eats and breathes cinema.
He aspires to be an actor but has to settle as assistant director. However he did not lose hope and strives constantly to chase his dream. After failing many auditions he joins an American crew which takes him to a remote area of Rajasthan. There in strange events he gets kidnapped by an Islamic terrorist group who believes that he is an American crew member and hold him hostage in a remote village of Pakistan.
The film is directed by Nitin Kakkar and it is his debut venture. Film has Sharib Hashmi & Innamul Haq in leading roles. The film is set to release on 6th June 2014.
