Bobby Jasoos is a story of a young and adventurous girl (played by Vidya Balan) who lives in the city of Hyderabad and aspires to be a famous and number one private detective of the country. She tries her luck at many places and finally decides to open her own detective agency. A simple and charming young lad named Tasawur (played by Ali Fazal) is in love with her and helps her in her antics.
Ali Fazal has impressed in his first film Fuckrey and he has got a bigger opportunity opposite Vidya Balan in this movie which he promises to make most of. The backdrop of of the story is in the city of Hyderabad and the funny accent of Hyderabadi language by the characters add spice to the story.
Recently Vidya has stated that the film is like a tribute to ‘Karamchand Jasoos‘ a popular TV serial in 1980’s where Pankaj Kapoor played the role of detective Karamchand and was assisted by his secretary Kitty. The serial was most popular of its time and was first detective series in Indian television history.
The film is directed by Samar Shaikh and produced by Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha.
It will be interesting to see how the movie will perform on box office.
