Actress Anushree Sahu, who is known for her role in shows like Anupama, Imlie, and Pandya Store is garnering a lot of love and appreciation for her performance in the movie Raksha Bandhan starring Akshay Kumar, and Bhumi Pednekar among others.
The actress essayed the role of Geeta bhabhi in the movie who shares a good rapport with the sisters. During a recent interview with BT, Anushree talked about her journey from TV serials to the film industry and shared, “The path to success is never smooth, but the destination is. From doing small roles on TV to doing a full-fledged role in a film, my career graph has changed a lot. Obviously, the change in my career required a lot of hard work and effort, which I did constantly and the result is so amazing. Earlier, I performed only character roles in TV serials, but now after performing a complete role in a film, the actor in me feels lively and happy.”
She further added, “The television industry and the film industry have their own different ways of working. So, I had to make sure that I completely indulged in what was required of me. It was an amazing experience working on the film and it was different from shooting for a television show. I am happy with the change in my career graph and I am looking for more opportunities like this.”
Talking about the feedback she has been receiving for her performance, Anushree said, “The feedback has been fabulous and people loved the film as it’s an Indian household family drama. The audience got emotional and they could relate with their own siblings. I have been receiving a lot of love and praise from the audience for my performance in the film. Overall, the feedback has been truly magnificent.”
