Khans of Bollywood – Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan – prefer releasing their big-budgeted movies during festive seasons. While Aamir Khan releases his films around Christmas, Shah Rukh Khan arrives with a bang on Diwali and Salman Khan lets no Eid go without the release of his film. Like many past years, Salman came with his new film Tubelight this Eid, but unfortunately, the film failed to generate the kind of response usually his films are expected to do and was termed an unsuccessful venture by trade. However, the superstar still feels it was a good film.
Salman Khan in Tubelight
Speaking on the sidelines of his ‘Da-Bangg’ concert, Salman opened up to an entertainment portal and said, “Tubelight was an amazing film and I make jokes on it but it was a really good film. Actually, the film was meant for (the) family audience. So, Eid was not the right time for it to release. It was a very heart-wrenching kind of a film where you cry and you feel for the brothers and stuff like that. And Eid or Diwali or Christmas, (a) festive release should always be entertaining. It can be action, romance, comedy, but it has to be an entertaining film”.
Salman Khan is now gearing up for the release of his next movie, Tiger Zinda Hai. Also starring Katrina Kaif, the film releases on 22nd December.
