Kangana Ranaut is busy shooting for her upcoming period drama, ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi‘. The actress recently hurt her foot while shooting for intense fight sequences in Jodhpur. Despite facing injuries, Kangana is leaving no stone unturned to finish the film on time but looks like her hard work isn’t paying off. Earlier, the film was scheduled to release on 27th April this year but due to the high VFX, it’s taking a bit longer for the team to finish the film on time. It is now reported that the film might get pushed to June or even July. A source close to the film revealed to a daily, “Kangana is in Himachal Pradesh these days, spending some quality time with her family. She will resume work soon, but the VFX on the film is going to take a bit longer. So now the film will release only in June, or maybe even July.”

A few months ago, rumour had it that the film might get shelved due to its high cost and extreme VFX effect, but rubbishing all the baseless rumours, Kangana stated, “Yes, we will be completing the shooting of Manikarnika by February and will be releasing the film in 2018.”

This period drama is being helmed by Telugu film director, Krish and produced by Zee Studios. And apart from Kangana, the film also stars Jisshu, Atul Kulkarni, Sonu Sood and Ankita Lokhande in important roles.
