Saif Ali Khan starrer Bollywood movie Kaalakaandi collected approximately Rs. 2.5 crores at the box office on the first day, say reports. The final collection report is not yet available. Though the verdict is made based on the first-day collection, it is still not the time to judge the film as hit or flop.
Released on January 12, 2018 across the country, the film is receiving a mixed response from the audience. The movie was released around 200 screens across the country. Everyone is full praise for Saif Ali Khan for his stunning performance which is the highlight of the movie.
If things go well, Kaalakaandi will get back its initial budget in a week or in a couple of weeks. The performance on the weekend – Saturday and Sunday remain crucial for the film.
Being directed by Delhi Belly (2011) fame director Akshat Verma, the expectations were high. While commenting on the expectations and big Box Office Collection, the film’s distributor Akshaye Rathi said that this kind of films are not meant to collect huge revenues. This (film) is not the like for Khans either, Mr Rathi added.
