Haider actor killed in military encounter
MUMBAI: 15-year old Saqib Bilal, who acted in Vishal Bharadwaj’s directorial Haider, which starred Shahid Kapoor, Tabu, and Shraddha Kapoor, was killed in a military encounter.
Bilal and his friend Muddasir Rashid Parray were believed to be members of militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. Both of them were killed in the clash between the militants and the Indian forces in Srinagar’s Mujgund area that took place on 9 December.
Their dealth was mourned by nearly the entire town of Hajin, where they lived.
The family members of the boys believe that they have achieved martyrdom.
Saqib’s uncle told a publication, ‘They fought like lions. This is not a mourning; this is a joyous moment.’
