Padmavat & Pad Man Posters
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavat was recently given a green signal by the Central Board of Film Certification after a series of controversies around the subject of the film. The film is based on queen Padmini of Chittor, who immolated herself with hundred other women to save her honor. Pad Man, on the other hand, is a biopic on Arunachalam Muruganantham, a social activist from Tamil Nadu.
Also starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in important roles, Padmavat is produced by Viacom 10 Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd and Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions. Pad Man, also featuring Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte, is produced by Twinkle Khanna.
It will be interesting to see which film draws more audience and turns out to be a bigger hit at the ticket window.
