Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s grand film, ‘Padmavat(i)’ was no doubt the most talked movie of the year 2017. Though due to the continuous controversies, the film couldn’t release on its original release date, it is now reported that the magnum opus will hit the screens on January 25th. As we already know that Akshay Kumar’s ‘Pad Man’ is also releasing on the same date, ‘Padmavat’ will no doubt out throw it with sheer ease. A source very closely connected with ‘Pad Man’ still can’t believe ‘Padmavat’ is jumping the queue to make it for Republic Day. The source said, “Its insanity. We announced the release date for Pad Man six month ago. Now for them to jump in with Padmavat at this late hour is absurd. I am still hoping they will change their mind and release later.”
However, if other sources are to be relied upon, ‘Padmavat’ is now confirmed for January 25th. A source very close to the film says, “It’s January 25 for us. We’ve waited too long. We can’t wait anymore. Huge financial stakes are involved.”
Trade pundits are shocked at the sudden turn of events at the box office.
