Anupamaa fame Saga Parekh on replacing  paras Kalnawat for the role of Samar; says, “The pressure to play Samar was very high”

Sagar Parekh celebrated his birthday on the set yesterday, as he plays the role Samar in Anupamaa. The actor talked about it during a recent interview and shared, “The production house made sure that I celebrated my birthday with a huge cake on the set. I am not complaining that I could not meet my family because work is of utmost importance and I was happy doing that.”

Talking about his experience of replacing Paras Kalnawat, he said, “I have always been part of shows from the beginning and have never replaced anyone. Samar was my first role. I still remember the nights I sleptless at night when I began shooting for the show. Because the show is so popular, I wanted to give it my all. I didn’t want viewers to be disappointed that they saw Samar. I am happy that Samar has been accepted by the viewers. I remember how I used to watch previous episodes of Anupamaa to understand Samar’s character and why he was so endearing to all in the family. Rupali madam (Ganguly), was the first to tell me how I would never let anyone down. She showed great trust in me and supported my work. The entire team has been very supportive.”

Sagar is delighted with the support he has received for his performance. He said, “People like me and I am glad that I have been able to find a place in people’s hearts. My hard work and the team deserve all the credit. I have toiled very hard to play Samar.”
